Scouring, Stripping, rust removal, Phosphating the elements "A REEL PITA"


This tedious job is probably the most boring and hardest thing to complete to do it properly.

Fumes, noises, dirts, dust and long hours are at the menu.

Needless to say the high level
  of motivation and determination needed.

This job could be done by dipping each element in chemicals baths, in our case, we gonna do it ourself using chemical paint remover, air brush, heat, scrapers, micro aero abrasive dry blasting.


CHEMICAL PAINT REMOVER WILL SOFTEN THE PAINT.





AIR BRUSH TO GET RID OF THE MELTED PAINT










MUST START OVER A FEW TIME WITH THE CHEMICAL REMOVER AND THEN BRUSH AGAIN UNTIL ALL THE PAINT, UNDER COAT, MASTIC, SEAM SEALER ARE COMPLETELY REMOVED.

 THIS PROCESS CAN TAKE A LITTLE WHILE




A SOFTEN AND NON AGRESSIVE BLASTING IS NECESSARY TO OBTAIN A NICE AND CLEAN SURFACE READY TO APPLY A PHOSPHATE LOTION TO PROTECT THE METAL FROM RUST.

DO NOT WAIT AT ALL, AS SOON AS THE METAL PART IS BLANK, APPLY THE LOTION IN THE STRIDE






THE HIGH BUILD UNDERSEAL PROTECTION AGAINST THE STONES AND ROAD DEBRIS MUST BE HEATED TO SCRAPE AWAY THIS HARD AND THICK COAT.



















A THIN PHOSPHATE PRIMER PROTECTIVE FILM IS APPLY ON ALL THOSE PARTS BEFORE STORING.






THE ORIGINAL TEXTURE OF THE INSIDE FRONT HOOD AND THE TRUNK BOX COVER  WILL BE PRESERVED AND REPAINT











THE JOB HAS BEEN DONE IN 44 HOURS TIME
